There is a version with the same name produced in 1990 AD starring Arnold Schwalzinger & Sharon Stone Directed by Paul Verhoeven, and there is a version produced in 2017 AD directed by Mauro Borrelli, and the last version produced in 2021 starring Arnold Schawlzenger.
It seems that the 2012 version does not live up to the originality of the 1990 version, and this usually hits films that exploit the success of films that achieved cinematic success in form and content.
