The first full-length film to be shot within the disputed Palestinian West Bank, the Green Line, Fertile Memory. Michel Khleifi skillfully and lovingly crafts a portrait of two Palestinian women whose individual struggles define and transcend the politics that tore their homes and lives apart. In this film, director Khleifi compares two different models of two Palestinian women, as he deals with the reality of Palestinian women, their struggle, and their ability to improve their conditions in their society, under the Zionist (Israeli) occupation there in Palestine. ** A number of European countries and institutions participated in the production of this film.
